Terms of sale
Last updated
These terms are for buying labels from Squiggle Tags at squiggletags.co.nz. We've kept them short and plain. If anything's unclear, ask us before you order.
Who we are
Squiggle Tags is a sole trader business in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, New Zealand. “We” and “us” mean Squiggle Tags, and “you” means the person ordering. Email us at hello@squiggletags.co.nz.
If you need our full name, postal address and phone number for a privacy request or a legal claim (at the Disputes Tribunal, say), email us and we'll give them to you.
The labels and the price
A pack is 78 personalised name labels: large stickers, stickers and mini stickers, clothing tags and shoe labels. Each one has your child's name, with their drawing, one of our characters or no picture at all. Our home page lists how many of each come in a pack, and you see every label before you pay.
A pack costs NZ$39, with free shipping. We only post to New Zealand addresses.
Your design
- You design the labels and see every one before you pay. We print what you approve, so please check the spelling of the name, and any macrons (like ā or ō), in the preview.
- When you order labels with a drawing, you confirm it's your child's, or that you're allowed to use it.
- The drawing stays yours. You let us copy it only to make your labels.
- We cut the drawing out for you, and the sticker you approve is the one we print. Printed colours can look a little different from your screen.
Paying
You pay on Stripe's secure checkout page, by card, or by Apple Pay or Google Pay where your browser offers it. Prices are in New Zealand dollars. We never see your card details.
When your order is made
By ordering, you agree to these terms. Our agreement starts when your payment goes through. You'll see a thank-you page with your order number, and we'll email you a confirmation. If the payment doesn't go through, there's no order.
Making and posting your labels
We print and cut your labels ourselves in Auckland, and usually post them within 2 working days. They go by NZ Post as an untracked letter, and NZ Post usually delivers in 2 to 5 working days. If nothing has arrived 10 working days after we post, tell us and we'll reprint them.
Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting public holidays. There's more on our shipping and returns page.
Cancelling before we print
If you change your mind before we've printed your labels, email us and we'll refund you in full. We usually post within 2 working days, so write as soon as you can.
Once they're printed, the labels have your child's name on them and can't be sold to anyone else. So we can't refund a change of mind after that. If something's not right with them, our promise below and your rights under the law still apply.
Our promise: love them, or we'll reprint them
If you're not happy with how your labels have come out, tell us within 30 days of receiving them and we'll reprint them for free. If a reprint can't fix the problem, we'll refund you.
The promise is for how your labels have come out, like the print or the cut. It doesn't cover a change of mind once they're printed. It's extra: it comes on top of your rights under the law, below.
Your rights under New Zealand law
You have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, if your labels are faulty we must put it right. We can repair or replace them, or refund you. If the fault is serious, you choose: a refund or a replacement, or keep them and get money back for the drop in value. These rights don't end after 30 days.
Consumer Protection explains them on its Consumer Guarantees Act page.
Our responsibility
We take care to make and post your labels well. As far as New Zealand law allows, our responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for it. We aren't responsible for losses nobody could have expected when you ordered.
We don't limit anything the law says we can't. That includes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and the Fair Trading Act.
Looking after your labels
The stickers are waterproof vinyl, made for lunchboxes, drink bottles and the other things that go to school. We don't promise they'll survive a dishwasher. The clothing tags are for clothes, like school jumpers, shirts and jackets.
Your information
How we look after your information, and your child's, is in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms on this page when you order are the ones for your order.
The law that applies
New Zealand law applies to these terms. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. If we can't sort it out together, you can take it to New Zealand's Disputes Tribunal or courts.
